This summer I was at the Hazel Park Art Fair out in Michigan. A towering entertainer from Shadow's Circus walked by my tent. I grabbed my camera and snapped a photo of her as she walked away. Back home in Evanston at the Art Center I scribed the lines of Shadow with Circus tent and Circus trailer through wax on a 5" x 7" copper plate. I etched the lines into the copper plate with acid. I added light aquatints to create areas of tone in the print. Printed with a Prussian blue this original print speaks to the stark dream of Circus Life...
This etching was produced in a small run and isn't sold in any retail store. Contemporary decor for a modern home or office that needs a original piece of artwork to hang on the wall. Great as part of a set.
